Alterations

All alterations are carried out on site in our designated workroom.

   

Alteration charges will vary for each gown dependant on the work required. We have supplied a rough guide to our charges below based on the most frequent bridal alterations.

  • Side Seams (taking in or letting out) Beaded From £40
  • Side Seams (taking in or letting out) Unbeaded From £35                                                 
  • Hem From £45 to £75 

We feel that our prices are realistic considering the experience and attention to detail offered by our alterations team.

Each gown is finished to the standard that it was manufactured.

We will soon be adding before and after photographs to this page.

 Fittings

Fittings are normally carried out between 6-8 weeks* prior to the date of the occasion. At this point final decisions will have been made on the shoes and undergarments to be worn on the day and these will need to be bought along to the fitting appointments.

*It is possible to arrange fittings and alterations on a shorter timescale dependant on the work required.

Internet Copies

Here at Simply Brides we do not condone internet sellers. Many of the gowns featured on auction sites are from factories producing sub-standard goods using the genuine designers' photography.

It is highly unlikely you will receive the dress of your dreams.

We will shortly be adding photographs to show the comparisons between genuine gowns and copies but while we are composing this please feel free to look at the following video clips where the differences are clearly shown.
